As part of the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s continuing endeavor to develop the standards of local match officials the BCB Umpires Department has initiated workshops on umpiring in every division of the country. Recently a workshop for umpires and scorers was completed in Kushtia. The three-day (12-14 June) programme was attended by 19 umpires and eight scorers from Chuadanga, Jhenidah, Jessore, Kushtia, Magura and Meherpur. The course presenters were international panel umpire Enamul Hoq, deputy manager of BCB Umpires Department Sharif Mahmud, BCB umpires educator Khondokar Ziaul Islam and BCB Umpires Committee member Mushfiqur Rahman Mussabir.
A similar workshop will be held in Khulna from 16-18 June with 28 participants from Bagerhat, Khulna, Satkhira and Narail districts.
