Samit Patel (50 off 32b) built an opening partnership of 41 with Alex Hales (27 off 20b) and Michael Lumb (23 off 15b) as The Nottinghamshire were flying start on 77-1 after eight overs.
But The Outlaws were tacked back to 158 for 6 after particularly exclusive spells from Shiv Thakor, who got a personal best 3-30 from the last four overs from the Pavilion End, Shakib Al Hasan (4-0-21-1) and Josh Cobb (3-0-20-1).

Shakib Al Hasan got a crucial breakthrough with his 2nd delivery as Hales was caught by O’Brien. Shakib spent only one run in his first over. Shakib Al Hasan bowled another excellent over before Patel brought their score into three figures after 11.5 overs. Josh Cobb returned to bowl and just gave five runs, so the Leicestershire had achieved some control with the score on 109 for 3 after 13 overs.
During batting a key moment came as Josh Cobb was put down at long-off by Ball off Patel when on 45 runs and the Leicestershire were on the way to win. After Shakib Al Hasan smacked White for two massive sixes in the 13th over, Josh Cobb got a 38-ball fifty at the starting of the next over.
Shakib and Josh Cobb sensibly took Fox’s score to 124 for 3 with five overs in hand and needed a target of 35 from 30 balls. Shakib then smacked 14 off three consecutive balls, including a huge six over mid-wicket, and the Leicestershire were needed 18 from 24 balls by the end of the over.
