‘We have received some clear cut guidelines from the International Cricket Council (ICC). As I informed earlier, the constitution of 2008 will not apply for the election, but the constitution of 2012, which had been approved by the National Sports Council(NSC), is alright. ICC doesn’t have any problem with that,’ said by Nazmul.Hassan
The BCB Chief also said that the ICC did not provide any timeframe for the election, but the president was very confident in announcing the date soon. ‘International Cricket Council(ICC) haven’t provided us any timeframe for the election, but I feel that we could announce the election date in a month’s time.’
Nazmul Hassan was very dissatisfied and also vowed on the comments said by another former Bangladesh Cricket Board president Saber Hossain Chowdhury who earlier informed in a TV programme that the BCB is in not in mood to begin the Dhaka Premier League and they are very much interested in securing votes from the counselors of the top six clubs.
‘I actually don’t know what he (Saber Hossain) informed, but he has spoken totally bogus. Why Dhaka Premier league has been delayed I said at the media conference clearly. I was hurt with all the comments that have been made. We will have to fix the Dhaka Premier league, who will win the BCB election is not important to me,’ Nazmul Hassan said.
