Bangladesh U19 return home with satisfaction

Bangladesh Under 19 returned homeBangladesh Under-19 did not achieve their desired success in the England tour. Yet the team’s captain Mehdi Hassan Miraj is satisfied with his team’s performance.

After a tri-series ODI tournament against Pakistan and the host England, the Under-19 team has returned back to the country.

Bangladesh had played three matches against both the teams. After their first match against Pakistan being abandoned due to rain, the young cricketers of Bangladesh defeated England in their second match.  But losing the next four matches did not make a position for them in the finals.

Miraj is yet not disappointed. On Monday at Sahara-BCB National Cricket Academy he said the journalists, “The team could not achieve good results, but what’s more important is that we learned a lot from the tour. For many in the team it was their first tour of England. They had no idea about the condition over there.”

“But I am not disappointed. We have just started. Everyone now at least have some idea about the conditions in England. This experience will help in the future tours of our team.”

The Under-19 captain also added, “We have learned how to cope with the weather in England and play there. How to begin the batting, build an innings and bowl effectively are some of the things we learned from this trip. Despite not achieving successful results, the experience earned will help us go forward.”
