A great example has been shown by Bangladesh’s most rich sports Federation of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Chess grandmaster Ziaur Rahman was looking for the sponsor for playing Chess World Cup 2013 in Norway. It was uncertainty to participate in the chess world cup due to financial crisis of Ziaur Rahman. When BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon noticed it in a news paper then BCB comes forward to help him. Ziaur Rahman has collected a cheque of two lac Taka from Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury yesterday on Monday at Sher-e Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Ziaur Rahman is quite happy after receiving the money. He said ‘Thank you BCB for helping me. I can finally participate in the Chess World Cup ‘
Zia will leave Dhaka on 9th of August to play Chess World Cup. He will face former world champion Israeli Grandmaster Boris Gelfand in the first round. The Chess World Cup 2013 will be played a 128-player single-elimination chess tournament, held between 10 August and 5 September 2013 at the hotel Scandic Tromsø in Tromsø, Norway.
