Two of the domestic super powers in Bangladesh Cricket Abahoni and Mohammedan are going to face each other for the first time in this season’s Walton Premier League tomorrow, Sunday. The match will be started at 9 am in the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla stadium.
Two foreign players Mohammad Nabi and Tilokarotne Dilshan seem strengthen the power of Mohammedan. They have won their first two matches quite easily under the captaincy of country’s best pacer Mashrafi Bin Mortaza.
Two foreign all rounder’s Mohammad Nabi and T.M.Dilshan contributed both in batting and bowling to lead Mohammedan into the victory in the earlier two matches. Nabi scored 146 runs and grabbed 2 wickets while Dilshan took 5 wickets and scored 63 runs.
Opener Shamsur Rahman also got 73 runs in two matches. Skipper Mashrafi took two wickets.
On the other hand, Abahoni is constituted of youngsters this season led by Shahrier Nafees. They are in the eighth position in the point table. Skipper Shahrier Nafees is out of form,, the only century done by Mosaddek Hossain for Abahoni Ltd. Pacer Al amin Raju is in good form taking 11 wickets so far.
Skipper Shahrier told, “It will be a very exciting and pressurized match. But we are not going to take any pressures. Our only target is to win the match.”
Mohammedan skipper Mashrafi said, “It is indeed a high voltage match. We are expecting an excited match ahead. Whoever will win the match have to do it through good performances in every department.”
