Bangladesh Women Cricket Team face another defeat in their South Africa tour . Salma Khatun’s team lost to South African Women Cricket team by 8 wickets in their last ODI match on Tuesday.
South Africa Women had won both the ODI and T-20 series with a 3-0 margin. Bangladesh Women also lost the single practice match.
Bangladesh Women collected a total of 177 runs in 48.3 overs before all their wickets fell at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.
Rumana Ahmed (43) and Ayesha Rahman (70) gave a solid start to the Bangladesh innings; they collected 134 runs with a loss of two wickets. However, the team could not hold on to their start.
After the departure of Rumana and Ayesha, no one was able to reach double figures except Lata Mondal (23).
Marcia Letsoalo picked up 3 wickets giving 35 runs for the South Africans.
In reply, Trisha Chetty’s 76* and Marizanne Kapp’s 59* helped the South Africans reach their target with 72 balls to spare.
From among the Bangladeshi bowlers, only Rumana Ahmed and Jahanara Alam were able to pick up a wicket each.
