The tale has not end in here – his vibrant spin fooled out the batsmen who are 3 to 4 times older than him! Musheer snatched 5 wickets for 78 runs against Catholic Zimkhana for his team Sports field Cricket Club. The tiny all rounder then played 50 balls scoring 2 runs and led his team to draw the match respectively.
Musheer got excited after his record breaking performance saying that his father must have brought chicken fry for him now! His father Nowshad Khan is the captain cum coach of the Sports Field team. The traditional tournament has been undergoing since 1948 in memory of the former cricketer Dr. Hormasji Dorabji Kanga.
Musheer khan caught the attention of cricket lovers when he got Indian superstar Yuvraj Singh out last month. The amount of hard work that this little star does every day is unprecedented. He awakes early in the morning at 5 a.m. from 7 to 10 a.m. he practices cricket in Azad ground, Mumbai. Then it is school time – Musheer is a 4th grade student in Anjuman Islam, after finishing classes he goes to tutors for solving Math and English. Then it is practice time again from 4 p. m. up to the dusk. He usually goes to bed at 9 o’ clock in the night. So there is no time for playing with children!
The little star stated his big dreams saying, “I want to be a batsman like Sachin Tendulkar and bowler like Daniel Vettori”. The opponent team captain 40 year old Dipok Thakur said, “Once upon a time we used to watch child Tendulkar and said one day he might be a bright star of our country. Now we watch Musheer and thinking like that again!”
