Tigers captain Mushfiqur Rahim is celebrating his 25th birthday on Sunday, today. Born in 1988 in the northern district of Bogura, Mushfiq made his debut in the national team at the age of 16 in 2005. After Khaled Masud Pilot, the country has found another distinguished representative from Bogra.
He completed his schooling from the Bogura Zila School and then admitted to BKSP. Later he admitted in the history department of Jahangirnagar University for higher studies.
A proud father Mahbub Hanif said, “I’m wishing for the whole team in my son’s birthday to do well against New Zealand.”
Mushfiq was adjudged captain of the national team in 20th September, 2011. The team will head towards Khulna tomorrow for playing the 3 day preparation match. He became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to smack a double hundred in Test cricket in 2013 against Sri Lanka.
