No Pakistani Cricketers in Dhaka Premier League

Once upon a time domestic leagues of Bangladesh were overloaded with Pakistani cricketers. During the last season, Pakistan didn’t allow its cricketers to participate in BPL after the auction had been done due to the reason of rejecting Pakistan tour by Bangladesh. At that time BCB also decided not to take Pakistani players in the domestic leagues any more.

The chairman of the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) Mr. Jalal Yunus said in a press briefing, “During the last BPL they restricted their players from coming here. We decided that we would proceed without them. Now there’s no such new decision that we will allow them again.”

As the incessant rain is continuing for the days now, CCDM chairman said, “Rain is going to be our biggest challenge now. We are looking forward to start the matches in scheduled date of 10th September. The matches will be on the second filed of BKSP, Bogura and Rajshahi. We will start the match in at least one venue. Bogura is a good field. The drainage system of Rajshahi is quite good and we have prepared lots of pitch covers and grounds men in there also. There’s one reserve day so that the pending match will be started from the moment it would postponed.”
