Tamim shines while Shakib fails in his return

The world number one all rounder Shakib Al Hasan returned from injury and participated for Kalabagan Krira Chakra in the premier league matches. The country’s best all rounder couldn’t play till the fifth round of the league due to finger injury.

But the spot light focused on Tamim Iqbal as he played a fiery knock of 95 as Brothers Union defeated Kalabagan Cricket Academy by 9 wickets. Tamim took 33 runs in a single over of kalabagan’s Zimbabwan bowler Sikandar Raja. He hammered 4 sixes in that over along with 2 fours. Tamim was unbeaten in 95 while his elder brother Nafees scored 35.

In the other match of the Premier League, Shakib Al Hasan’s team Kalabagan krira Chakra defeated Khelaghor Shomaj Kollan in a huge margin of 116 runs though Shakib couldn’t do anything in bat. He was out scoring 6 runs only and couldn’t grab a single wicket in his 6 over bowling.

The match was curtailed into 31 over. Kalabagan batted first after losing the toss, Mithun Ali scored 78, Jihan Mubarak and Chamara Kapugedara scored 69 and 58 respectively. Brothers Union ended their innings in 132 in reply to Kalabagan’s 248 runs and lost the match by 116 runs.
