Bangladesh U19 beat West Indies U19 in the 2nd ODI

Mosaddek Hossain hits out during his match-winning innings of 70, West Indies U-19s v Bangladesh U-19s, 2nd ODI, Georgetown, October 9, 2013Bangladesh under – 19 team won the second One day match in Guyana against West Indies under – 19  in a seven match series.

Young tigers were opted to bat first; they lost their first wicket in 15 runs. Jashimuddin and Shadman Islam scored 46 in the second wicket partnership before Shadman got out for 23.

The best partnership of the match was in fourth wicket when Mosaddek and Jashimuddin scored 96 together. Mosaddek Hossain was the best performer with the bat; he was out for 70 runs.

Jerom Jones, Brian Charles and Jofra Archar all took 2 wickets each. In the replying innings of West Indies, Saeed Sarkar struck and took their first wicket in 2 runs. After that, Caribbean skipper Jeremy Len Solozano made a 70 runs partnership with Tagenarine Chanderpaul.

Caribbean innings was shattered in the spin of Rahatul Ferdous. He took 5/55 in 10 over.

Score: Bangladesh under – 19 259/7 (50 over’s)

West Indies under – 19 196/9 (50 over)

Result: Bangladesh won by 63 runs.

The third match will be held in Providence, 11th October.
