Saber Hossain boycotts BCB election

Saber HossainFormer BCB president and councilor of Baridhara Dazzlers Mr. Saber Hossain Chowdhury made an announcement to boycott the running election procedure of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). He arranged a press briefing in the Ruposhi Bangla Hotel today (Tuesday) to inform this.

He said that he has made this decision with highest respect to the judiciary system of the country. It was said that the upcoming election of the Cricket Board would be held in accordance with the amended constitution of 21st November, 2012, but BCB – NSC is proceeding in according to the 29th November constitution. He said, “If we will participate in this election it would be dishonoring to the court. We cannot participate in the election under this illegal constitution.”

The combined association announced the 14 member panel before revealing the names of councilors – Saber Hossain Chowdhury referred this as the illegal connection between NSC and the association. “They have announced the panel during hearing; it means they knew that none of their councilors would be dismissed. We had submitted 17 complaints which had all been discharged by the election commission but they did not explain us the reasons of discharging.”
