Age is just a number – once again proved, this time by 42-year-old Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq who has depicted his name in an elite list of batsmen. In Hong Kong T20 Blitz, Misbah hit 6 sixes in consecutive 6 deliveries for his team Hong Kong Islands on Thursday.
Playing against Hung Hom Jaguars, the once-again-retained Pakistani captain demolished the opponent bowling line up as he went for successive sixes in 18th and 19th over of the Hong Kong Island innings.
Imran Arif is the bowler to suffer the initial stage of the slaughter; the fifth and sixth ball of his over flied above the ground for sixes. Ashley Caddy came in the next over with no change in luck, he digested following 4 sixes off his bowling.
The second two of 4 maximums went over the fine leg area; bowler Caddy was in long discussion with the captain but things were not changed. Merciless Misbah smashed the fifth delivery right into the stands and the sixth one as well.
The veteran Pakistani captain scored 82 unbeaten facing 37 deliveries as his team Hong Kong Island rocked on ending their innings at 216 in 20 overs. In reply Hung Hom Jaguars were restricted into 183 runs in their stipulated 20 overs.
