The trophy of the Physically Challenged Tri-Nation Series 2017 has been shared between hosts Bangladesh and India, as the final of the tournament was called off due to a wet wicket at the Jagannath Hall ground in Dhaka University.
Bangladesh can consider themselves unlucky, as they were top favourites to lift the trophy. They had defeated India in the side’s last meeting in the group stage, and were looking to repeat the result once again in the summit clash. [Read also: Chief selector bats for Hathurusingha]
But the hopes of the hosts were denied by the forces of nature, and Bangladesh had to be satisfied with winning the trophy jointly with India.
Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Arif Khan Joy handed over prizes to winners.
