Cricketers wage will be increased 20 to 30 percent, says Akram KhanSince Bangladesh Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim dissertated about the pay scale of cricketers provided by the Bangladesh Cricket Board and club owners, it was heard that the wages would soon be increased. After a meeting with cricketers, BCB Director and Cricket Operations Committee Chairman Akram Khan revealed the wages will be increased up to 20 to 30 times.

It was heard their wage will be increased 2 to 3 times. Akram Khan did not say exactly how much they would pay; it will be confirmed in the board mitting.

Akram added, “Cricketer’s wage should be increased. BCB Executive Board has a meeting coming 22 April that assures how much cricketers will be paid.”

There are four category of cricketers enrolled in BCB. Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim and One-day Captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza are in the “A plus” category get highest payment.

BCB have to pay 1.5 lac BDT per cricketer for a Test match, 1 lac BDT for One-day and 75 thousand for twenty-20I.
