“I think this squad is the result of a lot of thinking and consideration. I have seen the squad a while ago. All the players who have played of late are there in the squad. Nasir is coming back. This is very important for all of us. I think we habve got the best possible squad. Now we have to play our best cricket there,” said Mashrafe after his team Legend of Rupganj’s 8-wicket defeat at the hands of Nasir Hossain’s Gazi Group Cricketers. Bangladesh will leave for England on next Wednesday (April 26) as they will hold a 10-day conditioning camp in Sussex. After the conditioning camp, they will head for Ireland on May 7. In Ireland, the Tigers will take part in the tri-nation series against Ireland and New Zealand. After playing the last match of the tournament on May 24, they will return to England the very next day. They will begin their Champions Trophy campaig from June 1 with the match against England.
“We will be playing in those conditions after a very long time. So I think the conditioning camp and Ireland series will help us a lot. Everything depends on how good can we adapt to the conditions and play accordingly. There is summer in England now, and winter in Ireland, So the wicket could be slightly different,” said the Narail Express.
