ICC to send World XI to play in Pakistan

Pakistan Cricket Board tried hard to find back cricket in their home soil but they have failed so far. Once Zimbabwe agreed to travel back in 2015 and it was the first time that an international match was held in Pakistan since 2009. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ পাকিস্তানে দল পাঠাবে আইসিসি]

It was a big moment for the country but they have still failed to convince other top class teams to travel. Pakistan has been suffering from terrorist attacks all through the country which has become a common phenomenon at present.

Pakistan cricket authorities hoped that the situation might have improved by arranging final match of PSL at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators where Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators to lift the tittle few months ago.

Considering the bigwigs ICC and the boards are agreed to send a top class World XI team to play in Pakistan later this year. After successfully arranging the final of PSL, both ICC and Cricket boards of several countries are agreed on sending a World XI to Pakistan for competing in a 3 match T20 series later in the year.

The decision came after receiving reports from the security officials of various boards and ICC which was prepared during their visit to Lahore during the PSL final.

The Chairman of PSL, Najam Sethi confirmed the news through Twitter on Friday that a top World XI team containing current players will be sent to Pakistan for a 3 match T20 series.

Sethi wrote, “Giles Clarke has reviewed security report of ICC experts & agreed to the possibility of hosting three T20 matches in Pakistan at the end of September.” This message shows that the cricket is about to back in Pakistan.
