‘I’m a bit messy, lazy person’ – Shakib Al Hasan

On and off the field, the stardom of Shakib Al Hasan is greater than any other cricketer from Bangladesh, in and outside the country.

Playing for KKR in the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League, Shakib has little appearance so far in the season and with just one more match to go before Bangladesh will fly to Ireland to take part in the tri – nation series, the star all-rounder is closing in towards another IPL participation.

Shakib shared some wits and facts with cricbuzz while staying in India. Interestingly on the contrary to his disciplined bowling and batting in the field, the world number one revealed he is always messy out in the dressing room.

“In Bangladesh national team, me and Tamim are the persons who mess the dressing room always” – he said. Notwithstanding anything regarding to that, Shakib pointed himself as the ‘laziest’ person in Bangladesh dressing room.

Shakib Al Hasan said, for him playing in the Caribbean Premier League or in the Indian Premier League for Kolkata Knight Riders makes no difference precisely, “In terms of the dressing room, there is not much difference. The culture is bit different but in terms of atmosphere, there is a difference. In the Caribbean, people are more fun loving, not into the game that much, they just want to enjoy themselves. Here people are more into the game. They want their team win.”
