Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu told, “Nasir Hossain might be placed in the team to tour South Africa later this year. We have a preparation camp in Sussex. Nasir needs to be accustomed to Ireland series. Many of our cricketers did not face this series past. Nasir has been out of the team for a long time.”

“Team management thinks about him. He will be in the 10-day preparation camp, hopefully he will get back to his earlier rhythm as he has experienced.” Nannu added.

As an explanation of Nasir’s comeback, Nannu said, “Nasir has been out of the team and tour for a long time. He has played much better in domestic leagues and also in Emerging Asia Cup so we have made a place for him in the national again.”

Minhajul Abedin Nannu further added, “We took him in the Emerging Asia Cup to test his attention in International cricket, he had passed it successfully and satisfied us to take decision to be played in the tri-nation series.”
