Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hasan Papon has made it clear that there is no possibility of fresh blood making room in the national team ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ চ্যাম্পিয়ন্স ট্রফির দল নিয়ে পাপনের ভাষ্য]
Papon said this while talking to a local television on Monday. “It is tough to include any new player in Champions Trophy squad.”
“I can’t drop Tamim (Iqbal), Shakib (Al Hasan), Mushfiq(ur Rahim), Mahmudullah (Riyad). Even I can’t drop Imrul (Kayes), Mustafiz(ur Rahman) and Mashrafe (Bin Mortaza), who is captain of the team. Even I can’t drop Sabbir (Rahman), (Mehedi Hasan Miraj), Mosaddek (Hossain). All are the key players of the team.
“We have enough players in pipeline. But we could not give chance anyone of them in this extravaganza event in place of them,” he also added.
Bangladesh will fly for England on April 26 to hold a 10-day preconditioning camp before heading for Ireland.
