Pakistan Test captain, Misbah-ul-Haq will be rewarded Imtiaz Ahmed Spirit of Cricket Trophy by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as he bids goodbye to International cricket.
Reports say that PCB has decided to reward him because of his gentle behaviour and playing within the spirit of the game. The 42-year old will be given a trophy and a cash price of 5 lakh Rupees (4,771 USD).
The decision was taken by a committee under the supervision of Professor Aijaz Farooqui, who is also a member of the PCB Governing Board. ICC umpire Ahsan Raza and referee Muhammad Anees were also in the committee in Lahore. PCB chairman Shahryar Khan agreed to it and thus Misbah’s name been announced.
Misbah played 72 Tests, 162 ODIs anz 39 T20Is for Pakistan. He scored 10861 runs across all formats. He will bid adieu to International cricket after the end of three-match Test series against West Indies.
