Prime Bank hands big defeat to Mohammedan

Top favorite Mohammedan Sporting Club has suffered a mounting defeat against Prime Bank Cricket Club in their third match of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. The match was curtailed to 41 overs as rain interrupted in the middle.

Mohammedan Sporting Club was bundled out scoring only 142 runs batting 36.1 over. Rain rules, later, fixed the target to 149 runs for Prime Bank Cricket Club which was easily chased down by the opposition losing just 3 wickets.

The opening partnership of Mohammedan between skipper Tamim Iqbal and Shamsur Rahman stood for 43 runs.

As soon as Shamsur Rahman departed, Mohammedan innings started faltering and lost rest of their wickets adding 99 more runs on the board. Tamim Iqbal scored 46 runs.

Al – Amin junior destructed Mohammedan’s innings claiming a fifer conceding 25 runs.

Hard hitter Sabbir Rahman captured his 13th half century of List ‘A’ Career. He was unbeaten at the score of 78 runs facing 75 deliveries with four fours and five sixes. Taibur was not out scoring 42.

Mohammedan Sporting Club won their previous match where Tamim Iqbal scored his List ‘A’ career best 157 runs.
