Chris Gayle, after finishing an end to all the waits, has finally completed his 10,000 runs in T20 cricket at Rajkot against the Gujarat Lions. After the end of the match, Gayle had to sit for an interview with none other than Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli, who also happens to be the man to probable see him score at least 1000 of those runs from the other end while batting together for RCB.
At first, Kohli asked how Gayle felt about opening with him, and Gayle in response said it was a true privilege for him, also calling Kohli a legend who still has many more runs to score. [Read also: Helmot inks new deal with BCB]
It’s a great great feeling to be actually opening with you captain, absolute pleasure mate, you’re a legend and you have many more runs to score. It’s really a privilege to watch you from the other end and see you scoring so fluently. Absolutely a pleasure and well done on your career so far and I wish you many many more. Then Kohli informed Gayle, in case he didn’t know, that they had had so far 10 100-run partnership between them, including the latest one against Gujarat Lions on Tuesday. Kohli asked Gayle to say something on his journey and 10,000 runs and how he had been the Universal Boss, so many years, consistently.
