Bangladesh will face tough opposition in the group round of the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2017 in England and Wales, as they have beem bracketed into Group A with high profile teams like England, Australia and New Zealand. But star all-rounder Sabbir Rahman believes if the Tigers can play their best cricket then it will not be much tough to beat the big teams.
“It doesn’t matter who our oppositions are,” said Sabbir. “If we can deliver our best on the field, then it’s very much possible for us to beat any team in the world. England will play at their own den. As the hosts, they will naturally get some advantages. He also added, “We are optimistic about making good performance against all the teams. We are now playing in the premier league. Besides we are also having our individual practices. We are actually playing in the premier league to up our confidence level.”
Sabbir is playing for Prime Bank Cricket Club in the ongoing Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL). His numbers in three matches of the league so far are as follow: 13, 36 and 78*.
