Selectors eye on DPL for tri-nation team selection

BCB Chief Selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu dotted about including an extra pacer and an experienced batsman in the squad of the forthcoming tri nation series and ICC Champions Trophy. BCB mulling over cricketers pay hike

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Operations Committee Chairman Akram Khan said, “It is a very positive sign for our cricket. I think we can make the right selections from here for the imminent international competitions.”

Akram khan also reckoned the domestic cricket is the pathway to improve for Bangladesh cricket, “Till to date, everyone is performing well in DPL which is extremely important because when everyone performs well, it increase the competition among performers. The standard of the game rises when the competition increases. Whoever is serving now in the national team has a rich background in domestic level. So it is a highly positive sign for Bangladesh cricket.”

Some of the national team discarded cricketers like Rubel Hossain, Nasir Hossain, veteran Abdur Razzak and Arafat Sunny have been showing superb performance in Dhaka Premier League.
