Star studded RCB suffers another colossal defeat

Royale Challengers Bangalore, one of the top favorites to win the title of the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League has been submerged into a deep hole after completing their tenth encounter of the season.

In the 34th match of IPL – 2017, Rising Pune Supergiants has claimed the 61 run win against Royale Challengers Bangalore at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Royale Challengers Bangalore once again exhibited a penurious show of batting while chasing. The starry batting line up composed of Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers and Chris Gayle has been awfully bundled out in less than hundred runs total.

The victory target was not so extrusive for RCB as Rising Pune Supergiants gathered 157 runs after being sent into bat first.

In the Royale Challengers Bangalore’s Innings, only skipper Virat Kohli was the  only exception scoring highest 55 runs. No other batsman except Kohli could not even touch the double figure mark.

Started losing wickets in the second over of the match, Royale Challengers Bangalore’s innings had never been settled in comfort to reach any near of the target threw by RPS.

Virat Kohli cautiously scored 55 runs playing 48 balls striking 4 fours and a six. Batting at number three, South African power hitter AB De Villiers dogged at 3 off 8.

The second highest score in the Royale Challengers Bangalore’s innings was an unbeaten 8 by S Aravind in the last portion of the innings.

Imran Tahir has lived on his good form with ball in this season. He claimed 3 wickets today conceding 18 runs in his 4 over spell.

Earlier skipper Steve Smith and M Tiwary guided Rising Pune Supergiants into a competitive total of 157 runs at the end of twenty overs.

Smith scored 32 ball 45 hammering 5 boundaries including one over boundary. On the other hand M Tiwary was not out in his 44. Facing 35 deliveries, Tiwary flicked 4 shots of four and a six as well.

In the beginning of the innings of Rising Pune Supergiant, Samuel Badree hit to bring the first breakthrough quite early. In the fourth over, Badree picked up the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane (6 off 8).

R Tripathi and captain Steve Smith added 40 runs in the second wicket partnership. RPS lost three wickets at the team score of 108 runs. Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni made a quick fire knock of 21 runs with one four and one six to cross the team total hundred and fifty run mark.

Rising Pune Supergiant has managed to survive their hope for play – offs with the win today. Meanwhile Royale Challengers Bangalore is standing at number seventh position in the point table among eight teams playing this season.
