Sunrisers Hyderabad has stride a long way towards the play-offs through an immense win against Kings XI Punjab. On Friday, the defending champions have defeated the home team by 26 runs at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
Kings XI Punjab was never in chase practically facing a gigantic total of 207 runs placed by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
After losing a flurry of wickets in the beginning of the innings, Shaun Marsh protruded through the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowling attack. With exquisitely timed and accurate shots all around the ground, the Australian selectee of Punjab ended his batting at 84. He pierced 14 shots to the boundary in his 50 ball innings together with 2 over boundaries.
No other batsman facilitated Marsh to make the chase successful. The second highest score was 26 made by Eoin Morgan; he faced 21 balls with 2 fours and a six.
Martin Guptill, in the opening slot fire an 11 ball 23. Kings XI Punjab’s power hitter Glenn Maxwell, although became unexpectedly successful today with the ball, totally failed with the bat in hand. He departed without scoring a single run that thrashed his team into disaster in the middle of the innings.
Earlier defending champion Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a whaling total of 207 runs in after being sent into bat first by Kings XI Punjab. The top order batsmen of the visiting team showcased top-notch performances swearing away runs on the board.

Surprisingly enough for the Kings XI Punjab, among the three wickets they picked in the match, part timer Glenn Maxwell claimed 2 for 29.
