With the breathtaking win against Royale Challengers Bangalore on the other night, Gujarat Lions skipper Suresh Raina bagged the ‘Orange Cap’ as he became the highest run scorer in the ongoing tenth edition of the Indian Premier League.
Gujarat Lions’ skipper made an unbeaten 34 run innings to lead his team winning the match. Suresh Raina, later, dedicated the win and the orange cap to his daughter Gracia.
In his Instagram account Raina uploaded the picture captioning, “Much needed win for @TheGujaratLions and an orange cap! This one goes to you #Gracia.”
In the last match, Royale Challengers Bangalore was first restricted to 134 runs in 20 overs. Gujrat Lions’ Aussie medium pacer Andrew Tye exhibited another brilliant performance with the ball taking 3 wickets for 12 runs.
In reply, Gujrat Lions was led to the victory by some scintillating batting performance of skipper Suresh Raina and Aaron Finch. The Lions captured a 7 wicket victory.
Gujarat Lions will face table topper Mumbai Indians in their next match of the season.
