Bangladesh will have a ten-day camp in Sussex, United Kingdom starting later this month which will be a preparation camp for the Tigers ahead of Ireland tri-series and ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Tamim Iqbal is looking forward to it and hopes it will help him and co.
“We have a 10-day camp in Sussex before the tri-series and the ICC Champions Trophy, which is very important for us. I am eagerly waiting to take part in the camp because it will help us a lot before the two demanding assignments,” said Tamim.
“Conditions in Ireland will be different than in England, so we would need good preparation for that tri-series and that is why the 10-day camp is so important for us. We will need to make sure that we will utilise every minute in the camp,” he added.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squads for tri-series and Champions Trophy. The 28-year-old has no regrets about the team.
“Most of the expected players were included in the teams. [There were] one or two changes brought, considering the conditions. I am very satisfied with the team.
“Whoever plays, the main target would be to do the job properly and I am confident that we will be able to play our best cricket,” he said the reporters yesterday.
Bangladesh will fly for Sussex on April 26. They will play two practice matches in the first week of May. The tri-series will begin on May 12. Bangladesh will face England in the opening match of CT 2017 on June 1.
