'I want to be like a legend' - Taskin Ahmed

Taskin Ahmed, who achieved a wonderful hat-trick in the second one day international of the last completed series against Sri Lanka, said he is inspired by such achievement. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়নঃ তাসকিনের স্বপ্ন] 

Being a regular member of the national team since 2014, Taskin Ahmed bears wishes that, after ten years, everyone will remember him as a ‘legend.’

Taskin said in a recent interview to a leading daily news of the country, he wants to be the best among the bests after ten years as a owner of 300-500 wickets. The well – built pacer wants to do something for Bangladesh that everyone in the world knows him and be interested of him.

Taskin said, “I want to see myself in a very big position. Want to be the world’s top bowler, the like of a legend, it’s my dream. If I would survive ten years from now, people would find me as a legend. Like great cricketers, a book will be out containing my life story, big stars will want to make a movie, ‘he is a legend’, and owner of 300-400 wickets, everyone will say that.”

He wants to do something greater in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. “I am very optimistic about the Champions Trophy with our pace bowling department, my personal goal is to bowl well. Want to be the top wicket-hunter in the tournament” – he said.

He faced a lot of injury in his short career that threw him out of the Test series; he played T20I and ODI till now.

At least he had got the opportunity to display him as a Test player against New Zealand on January. Till now, four Test matches he played and got seven wickets. Besides, 22 years old Taskin has 41 wickets in 26 ODIs and 10 wickets in 15 T20Is.
