Bangladesh’s maverick all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who is now in India to play in the ongoing 10th edition of the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL), has revealed his one major cricket dream he wants to live is to win the World Cup. Asked how it felt when Sri Lanka’s World Cup winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga had mentioned about how Bangladesh could win the 2023 World Cup, Shakib said: “Preparations are going on nice and I think we have a very good chance in 2019 World Cup too. Shakib was also asked about his one major cricket regret, and he came out with this saying: “Ahh! There are actually two. 2012 Asia Cup Final where we lost to Pakistan by two runs. And the T20 World Cup game against India.”

Shakib rated to win a World Cup over a Test series victory, even if it comes against the No.1 side in the world, or away from home.
