Warner sets up new IPL record

Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner has set up a new record in the Indian Premier League T20. He is now the holder of most fifties in IPL cricket, 34 in all.

The Australian opening batsman achieved this record in the 18th match of VIVO IPL 2017 against Kings XI Punjab at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.

Warner scored his fifty in 45 balls, which is his slowest fifty in IPL. The team needed him to bat through the innings. He just did that. He carried the bat through the innings scoring 70 runs off 54 balls on a tough pitch. His innings included 7 fours and 2 sixes.
