Experienced campaigner Abdur Razzak has suffered a fatal blow while playing a match during the ongoing Dhaka Premier League (DPL). In BKSP no four ground, Khelaghor skipper Nafees Iqbal decided to bat first after winning the toss. They scored 266 runs losing 8 wickets in stipulated 50 overs. Abdur Razzak grabbed 5 wickets for Sheikh Jamal in the match.
While batting, Razzak was on 10 playing 8 deliveries, cruising his team towards the victory target. While taking a single, he dived hard to save himself from a run out. The dive ended uncontrollably that caused severe physical stretch to the experienced spinner. He took out of the field in a stretcher. Later he was taken into the hospital by a helicopter.
His team Sheikh Jamal lost the match by 20 runs after the departure of Abdur Razzak.
