Bangladesh end warm-ups with awful defeat

Just a day before commencing ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Bangladesh has suffered a shocking 240 run defeat against India in the warm-up match at the Kennington Oval, London.

Any shadow of the previous match batting against Pakistan where the Tigers scored 341 runs has totally disappeared, leaving Bangladesh scoring 84 runs all together, ended in a huge defeat.

India, after put into bat first, piled up 324 runs in first innings. Bangladesh’s horrible chase of the target completed before mid-innings as they were bundled out in 23.5 overs.

In the opening partnership between Imrul Kayes and Soumya Sarkar, 11 runs were added in the board and then all of a sudden, Bangladesh were three down at that particular score.

Another 10 runs added in the fourth wicket partnership between Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah Riyad and Bangladesh once again lost another three within a single run.

The highest 24 runs were scored by young gun Mehedi Hasan Miraz who stood for 34 runs and strike 4 fours.

Apart from Mr. Extra, Sanjamul Islam and Mushfiqur Rahim are other twos to cross double figure mark in their innings.
