Bangladesh was sent into bat first after losing the toss. Consecutive half centuries by Imrul Kayes, Sabbir Rahman and Mehedi Hasan Miraz guided the Tigers to pile up 314 runs in 50 overs of the match.

Bulky opener Imrul Kayes scored highest 92 runs. Apart from that, young all – rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz was unbeaten at 60. In the middle order, Sabbir Rahman and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 52 and 40 respectively.

In reply, Sussex started their innings well but they became faltered after Robson and Mahmudullah Riyad departed. They scored 49 and 32 respectively.

Mehedi Hasan Miraz was the most successful bowler for Bangladesh, he grabbed 3 wickets conceding 31 runs. Taskin Ahmed and Subashis Roy claimed two wickets each.

Sanjamul Islam, Soumya Sarkar and Sabbir Rahman also picked up one wicket each.

The first match was washed out due to torrential rain in the midst of the game.
