Bangladesh professes a 199 run win

The win was, in fact, a matter of time for Bangladesh after the Tigers posted a massive 394 runs on the board after batting first at the Stormont Cricket Ground in Belfast.

Ireland Wolves’ innings was decremented primarily of the pace attack of Bangladesh; Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain and skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza all took 2 wickets each.

The Irish team, all they could do was in the opening partnership of 50 runs between J Shannon and J Tector which was dislodged by Rubel Hossain in the tenth over.

Rubel brought back to back breakthroughs picking up J Anderson as well immediately after that. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza captured another opener J Tector in between Rubel’s breakthroughs and Irish eleven faltered losing track of their chase.

For Bangladesh, youngster Mustafizur Rahman was the most successful campaigner for the team. Bowling half of his quota (5.2 overs), Mustafizur claimed 2 wickets conceding just 17 runs with a maiden.

Shakib Al Hasan also blazed with the ball after batting well, took 2 wickets in the end to run Irish Wolves out of wickets.

Even Soumya Sarkar and Subashis Roy also picked up two wickets for Bangladesh.
In the first half of the game, a glittering hundred by Sabbir Rahman along with Tamim Iqbal’s 86 took Bangladesh to a pick of 394 runs in their innings.
