After winning the toss Bangladesh lost their inform batsman Soumya Sarkar (17) on 44 runs in the 9th over of the match. Then Sabbir Rahman joined with Tamim Iqbal and made a 103 runs partnership in the second wicket stand.
On the way to their 103 runs partnership, Tamim Iqbal brought up half-century in just 49 balls with help of 11 fours. Tamim Iqbal’s innings comes to an end in the second ball of 23rd over. He was removed by McBrine. Before getting out Tamim added crucial 87 runs off 75 balls. Then Shakib came to join the party.
He got a brilliant start but failed to build his innings bigger. He scored quick firing 44 runs in just 27 balls and got out on 211. After his departure Mosaddek Hossain also failed to put a big score. He scored 31 runs off 27 balls and exulted by McBrine.
In the meantime, Sabbir Rahman completed his century from 82 balls. He smashed 16 fours and 1 six to score 100 before getting retired hurt. Later on Mushfiq and Mahmudullah started dominating over the bowlers of Wolves. Their late-order cameo helped Bangladesh to post a massive total of 394 runs. Both of them missed the opportunity to score haldf-century. But their blistering knock led Bangladesh in the landmark of Bangladesh highest ODI runs. Mahmudullah scored 49 runs in 31 balls including 8 fours and 1 six while Mushfiq added 41 runs off 24 balls with fours and 2 sixes.
