Bangladesh springs to number six with quiet victory against New Zealand

A vibrant partnership between Mahmudullah Riyad and Mushfiqur Rahim paved Bangladesh’s way towards the coveted victory at ease blowing away all the uncertainties that were arose when Shakib Al Hasan was back to the pavilion at the team score of 199.

Cool and subdues in approach, Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur headed neck to neck scoring – ended at 46 and 45 respectively.

Sabbir overshadowed his earlier failures with a brilliant knock of 65 runs with 9 shots of four. On the other end of the innings Tamim Iqbal also knocked the exact similar score of Sabbir – out making 65 runs in 80 deliveries with 6 boundaries and a single over boundary.

New Zealand clinched the title of the Tri – National Series with more points in their cards than Bangladesh. Bangladesh had to share points with Ireland after rain washed the opening match of the series.
