Shakib Al Hasan, the captain of the Bangladesh twenty/20 team is in India recently participating in the Indian Premier League- IPL Twenty/20. The all-rounder did not got much matches to play so far this season, but still he has been in the news of the various Indian media regularly. Shakib in his interview has said the current Bangladesh side is the best in their history. He explained the reason behind his thought, “We have some very good batsmen. The pacers and spinners are doing well too. I believe this team is the best in our history. Our performance in last two years will reflect this. We are in the right direction.”

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza retired for international twenty/20 during the series against Sri Lanka. Shakib will take over the captaincy from the pacer, which he think is going to be a big challenge despite the vast experience he has got in the format.

He said, “It is never easy to lead a side in twenty/20s, infact it is a challenge. Every responsibility is a challenge. We are not like as we were in early days. We use to win at times in those days but now we are very consistent. But we need to improve much in the twenty/20s”. Shakib Al Hasan is scheduled to return home tomorrow morning. He will attend the function of his sister’s wedding. Later he will not be seen in the remaining season of Kolkata Knight Riders as he will fly towards England, to join the national team who are in Sussex right now for the camp.
