The record of hitting most sixes in Champions Trophy belongs to former India skipper Sourav Ganguly. He hit 17 sixes in total.

Sri Lanka’s legendary duo Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara played most number of matches in Champions Trophy. Both played equal 22 matches.


So far the Champions Trophy has seen 40 three-digit individual scores.

The shameful record of leaking most extras in a single innings is held by India. They conceded as many as 42 matches in a match against Kenya in Southampton during the 2004 edition of Champions Trophy.

Craig McMillan has a brilliant strike rate of 102.00 which is highest among the batsmen facing minimum 250 balls in Champions Trophy.

Most 4 centuries ended on the same score – 104.

Pakistan’s former flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi has the innings with highest strike rate. He remained unbeaten scoring 55 off 18 balls at a strike rate of 305.55 against Netherlands in the 2002 edition of Champions Trophy.

Chris Gayle has the record of scoring highest runs in a single edition. He scored 474 runs in total during the 2006 edition of Champions Trophy in India.
