In the sixth match of the Tri – Nation Series among Bangladesh, New Zealand and Ireland, New Zealand scored 270 runs in their innings after Tiger captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza won the toss and decided to field first at the Clontarf Cricket Ground in Dublin.
Three half centuries in the New Zealand innings put them forward after young gun Mustafizur Rahman put the first breakthrough early in the innings. At the fourth delivery of the fourth over, Luke Ronchi was caught by Shakib Al Hasan off the bowling of Mustafizur Rahman scoring 2 runs.
The second wicket partnership between Tim Latham and Neil Broom stood for 133 runs took New Zealand to cross 150 runs within 29th over. Nasir Hossain, after being retained in the team from absence, made his mark today taking back to back wickets.
Nasir produced the second breakthrough for the team claiming Neil Broom; Broom scored 63 off 76. In his next over, Nasir also captured the wicket of Tim Latham. Latham is the highest scorer of the team. His 84 came from 92 deliveries.
