The 33-year old South African batting star feels that the future of Indian Cricket is secured and the Indian Premier League is making team India stronger and stronger. Recently in an interview with Forbes India, AB de Villiers explained how India was benefitting from the tournament.

“I am scared of Indian cricket; it’s just getting stronger and stronger because of the IPL. The IPL has introduced so many Indian youngsters to this great experience of playing under pressure against the best in the world. No other country has that,” said AB De Villiers.

The RCB batsman further added, “They [the other countries] are slowly but surely catching up, but India is far ahead of that. I think they have got some great talents, there are some great youngsters coming through always… the future is in great hands.”

To be noted, the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 10 has already introduced so many new young talents including Rahul Tripathi, Basil Thampi, Nitish Rana, Siddharth Kaul who were out of limelight before the tournament.

However, the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League  (IPL) has been a forgettable campaign for Ab de Villiers as his IPL side could win only 3 games this year. His performance with the bat was also not up to the mark. Although RCB ended the campaign with a 10-run victory over Delhi Daredevils, they were without De Villiers in the match.
