Bangladesh started their England tour for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 with a defeat to “underdog” Pakistan in the first practice match ahead of the tournament which is scheduled to begin, on June 1.
Losing the match from a winning position shocked as well disappointed every Bangladesh Cricket fans as 82 runs were needed to defend for the Bangladesh bowlers when Pakistan had only 6 overs in their hand with 8 wickets down.
However, the defeat did not only disappoint the fans but it also hurt the Bangladesh players at the same time. “It really hurt us all,” said Tiger opener Tamim Iqbal, on Monday.
The 29-year Bangladesh batsman feels, his side should have won the game from such wining situation. He also informed that they were focusing on not to commit those mistakes again.
“We should have won that game. This is what we are focusing on — not to commit those small mistakes. You have seen how South Africa lost their game against England in just seven-eight balls. We are trying to correct those small mistakes. We certainly have more talent in the team than two years ago”
