After winning the toss, Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza opted to bat first. Bangladesh lost Soumya Sarkar early in the innings as he was sent by Junaid Khan in the first ball of seventh over. After Soumya’s dismissal on 27 runs, Imrul Kayes joined with Tamim Iqbal.

They recovered the early lose and took Tigers on a high position. Both of the cricketers brought up their half-centuries and made a well fought 142 runs partnership. After completing fifty with 7 boundaries, Imrul was trapped by Shadab Khan and got out after scoring 61 runs. But Tamim Iqbal carried his innings through picking up century.
Before getting out on 219 in the 34th over, he scored 102 runs with the help of 9 fours and 4 over-boundaries. Then some little-little partnership in the middle and lower middle order helped Bangladesh to get a total of 341 runs on the board. Apart from, Mushfiqur Rahim scored 46, Shakib Al Hasan scored 23, Riyad played a little cameo of 29 runs.
Junaid Khan picked up 4 wickets while Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan grabbed two wickets each.
