Mahmudullah Riyad was 28 runs away before the match to enter into the club of 3000 ODI runs. He played an outstanding match winning knock of 46 runs off just 36 balls today with 6 fours and a six. On the way to scoring those runs Mahmudullah becomes the fifth Bangladehsi batsmen to score 3000 ODIs runs.

The 31-year-old veteran batsman takes 141 matches to fulfill his 3000 ODIs runs.   After Mohammad Ashraful, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim, this dependable cricketer of Bangladesh cricket team enters in this club.

To be noted, onthe night of Mahmudullah’s new achievement, Bangladesh beat New Zealand for the first time in away and claiming their best Rankings on the ICC ODI Rankings. By eclipsing Sri Lanka with a fraction of rating points, currently Mashrafe and his co are at the sixth spot of ICC ODI Rankings with 93 rating points.
