Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza who could not play the first match of the tri- nation series against Ireland, is all set to make a come in the next match against New Zealand. Earlier, a one-match ban was imposed on Mashrafe during Bangladesh’s last tour to Sri Lanka due to the slow-over-rate.
So, making place for the regular captain of Bangladesh’s side in the playing XI, Taskin Ahmed might be dropped from the squad. Another pacer Rubel Hossain also can be replaced too. Other than that, the team will be same for Bangladesh from the last match which got drained due to persistent rain.
On the other hand, New Zealand thrashed Ireland by 51 runs in their first game of the tournament after a brilliant team performance led by one more significant contribution from Blackcaps wicket-keeper, Luke Ronchi.
Scott Kuggeleijn and Seth Rance who made their international debut in the match, were both handy with the new ball and Kuggeleijn with his extra pace returned to take a crucial wicket in the 36th over and start Ireland’s slide. So, the possibility of any changes in the New Zealand playing XI is very low.
Probable Playing XI:
Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan, Mosaddek Hossain, Mushifqur Rahim (wk), Mahmudullah, Mehedi Hasan, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (c), Rubel Hossain/Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman.
New Zealand: Tom Latham (capt), Luke Ronchi (wk), George Worker, Ross Taylor, Neil Broom, James Neesham, Colin Munro, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Seth Rance, Scott Kuggeleijn.
