Yet, Mashrafe has been an economical bowler for Bangladesh since the beginning of his international cricket career. Although he was more successful with the ball in his early days, his current performance is not that bad which could raise question against his inclusion in the Bangladesh side.

In recent times, the 33-year old experienced Bangladesh bowler is one of the most economical bowlers in the ODIs. He ranks at number 2 among the players with best economy rate in ODI cricket since the Cricket World Cup 2015.

Afghanistan’s star pace bowler Dawlat Zadran tops the list with an impressive economy rate of 4.94 while the number second ranked Mashrafe’s economy rate is 5.02.

However, the narail express ranks at number 3 among the bowlers with best bowling average. Zardan here too tops the list.
