Pakistan’s one of the greatest captains Misbah – ul – Haque on his return to the country on Wednesday morning received a grand welcome from cheering fans and top officials of Pakistan Cricket Board.
The 42 year old Misbah retired from international cricket with the tour of West Indies where Pakistan pulled out a sensational series victory, their first ever series in the Caribbean soil.
Jubilant Misbah – ul – Haque mentioned the last Test win as a ‘memorable one’ and said he will soon make up his mind about his future task.
“There are lot of options, I’ll decide what to do sometimes later” – he said.
Thanking his family, coach and team mates for the wonderful journey of his career, the veteran said, “My team, coach, selectors and my family played a very important role in my success.”
Misbah – ul – Haque led his country to 26 Test wins, a total of 11 series wins, most by any Pakistani captain. He is also the first Asian captain to win three Test matches in West Indies.
