The equation is not so difficult for Mustafizur Rahman. Taking 14 wickets in 5 matches would lead the young pacer to achieve the world record of possessing quickest 50 wickets in one day international, the record which is till to date owned by Ajanta Mendis of Sri Lanka. So far Mustafizur Rahman has appeared in 14 ODIs registering the tally of 36 wickets all together. The cutter master has fair chances in front of him to hold position beside Ajanta Mendis or surpass him who claimed 50 wickets in 19 matches in 2008.

Mustafizur Rahman made his debut in one day international back in 2015 against India. The 20 year old proclaimed his position in world cricket taking 5 wickets in his inaugural match.

His best bowling figure is taking 6 wickets in 43 runs. In a total of 14 matches, Mustafizur made three fifers.

Prior to Ajanta Mendis, Indian pacer Ajit Agarkar held the record of taking quickest 50 wickets which was in 23 matches.
